1. Material preparation
The production of slewing bearings usually uses forging and rolling processes, and the required materials are high-quality alloy steels, such as 42CrMo, 50Mn and 42SiMn. The selection of materials should be reasonably proportioned based on the working environment, moment of inertia, load and other factors, and ensure that the material quality meets the standards.
2. Processing technology
(1) Heat treatment
Heat treatment is the most critical process step in the manufacturing process of slewing bearings. It has a crucial impact on the performance and durability of its material. Normalizing + carburizing and quenching processes are generally used to improve the hardness, strength and wear resistance of the material. In addition, heat treatment can also remove residual stress inside the material and improve its mechanical properties and stability.
(2) Precision processing
Precision machining mainly includes processes such as turning, milling and grinding. The machining accuracy of the slewing bearing is directly related to the smoothness and durability of its operation, so strict quality control is required during the machining process. Among them, the grinding process experience and technical requirements are higher, and high-precision grinders need to be used for processing.
