Carbon steel: carbon steel is one of the common materials used for forging flanges. It has high strength and toughness and is suitable for general pressure and temperature range. However, carbon steel is not suitable for corrosive media.
Stainless steel: Stainless steel forged flanges are particularly suitable for applications requiring high chemical properties. Stainless steel has the characteristics of corrosion resistance, high strength, high temperature resistance and non-toxicity. According to the alloy composition, stainless steel can be divided into austenitic system, ferritic system, etc., the selection needs to be based on the characteristics of the medium and the use of requirements.
Alloy steel: alloy steel forging flange with superior performance, suitable for high temperature, high pressure and corrosive media and other occasions. Its main features are good corrosion resistance, high mechanical properties, but the price is relatively high.
In addition to the above three common materials, forged flanges can also be manufactured with some special materials to meet specific application requirements:

Titanium alloy: titanium alloy flanges have excellent corrosion resistance, especially in some special environments, such as chemical industry, ocean engineering and other fields.
Copper: brass flanges, for example, are typically used for low pressure, low temperature applications such as water pipe connections. Brass has good thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Aluminium: Aluminium flanges are lightweight and have good corrosion resistance, and are often used in lightweight applications such as air conditioning systems and ships.
Forged flanges have a variety of material choices, which should be selected according to the specific use environment and requirements to ensure the safety and reliability of the project.
